July 16, 2007Hello! Welcome to my corner of the interweb which I plan to take to a very broad audience, develop fans, and become known nationally as “that hot chick gridiron goddess who really knows her football.” heh.
My name is Amy, and I am your Gridiron Goddess. A hot chick who is passionate about her football and can debate football with any man out there and send him running for the hills with fright and intimidation. And it is all in good fun. My brother, who will be a contributing writer here, is proud he has such a sports savvy sister.
I bleed cardinal and gold, as the University of Southern California is my alma mater. A packed Memorial Coliseum on a fall Saturday (like my masthead image) is my happy place. On Sundays, my allegiance lies with the Chicago Bears and San Diego Chargers. I have a savant-like knowledge of players stats and histories. And like most of the college football loving world, I believe the BCS is a sign of the apocalypse. heh heh
This blog will be covering everything football with the NCAA division one BCS race featured prominently. I will introduce you to my theory on NFL QBs. I will rant about Rex Grossman’s performance every week. I will distinguish myself from all the other female sportswriters and broadcasters through my no nonsense approach to reporting the facts. I am not just another pretty face on the sidelines for a drunken Joe Namath to make a pass at. I am a force to be reckoned with and the denizens of the NFL and NCAA better watch their backs.
