The Origin of U-C-L-A Sucks
December 4, 2007In 1979, the Trojan Marching Band played on the Fleetwood Mac recording of Tusk. Football Fiends, thanks to the wonders of You Tube I bring you Fleetwood Mac and the USC Trojan Marching Band at what looks to be Dodger Stadium in 1979:

And a more modern interpretation complete with the U-C-L-A Sucks goodness– See it doesn’t matter whom or where we are playing. The answer to the Trojan Marching band playing Tusk is ALWAYS U-C-L-A SUCKS. In fact, whenever, wherever, however, I hear Tusk, the answer is always U-C-L-A SUCKS
Here is the TMB in Lincoln before the Nebraska game this season, for instance:
And here’s the TMB and Song Girls at Arkansas stadium, still U-C-L-A SUCKS
It doesn’t matter. NO ONE IS AS GOOD A VICTORY FOR THE TROJANS AS UCLA.
Remember, U-C-L-A SUCKS!
-Your Gridiron Goddess, who will now have Tusk and U-C-L-A SUCKS in her head for the rest of the night

You know what’s funny? I was watching the Tusk video shot on campus recently. People don’t do the Tusk dance any more these days! You know, the drum line dance? I mean, when I was on campus last year for Homecoming, it was like I was the only one doing it!
Perhaps it died out. *sigh*
