The Brett Favre effect

April 28, 2008

Hello Football Fiends!

Before I get to the Favre Effect — yes, my main header image is missing. I was trying to add some code so that my site can be syndicated over at Bleacher Report but it screwed up my CSS code and my header is gone, and uploading it anew is not working and I don’t know CSS AT ALL so am at a loss… Hopefully I’ll get it fixed soon.

Now back to the draft—

Green Bay drafted Louisville QB Brian Brohm AND LSU QB Matt Flynn. Interesting move. Is it because they have so much faith in QB Aaron Rodgers that they feel they can develop 2 rookie backups? Or is it the Favre Effect? As in, they are totally freaked out about Brett not being under center come fall.

Of course who knows if both rookies will make the roster. It is just an interesting draft note to me.

  1. It wasn’t hard enough for Aaron Rodgers, was it? Hell, Favre will be back the minute one of these guys gets the sniffles. I am sure the Packers are trying to move on and clearly are not sold on Rodgers, so they are trying to put as many bodies between Favre and returning as possible…but if he starts yapping about wanting back in, how can they say no without the town lighting torches and taking to the front office?
