NFL Playoffs: Divisional Matchup Picks
January 10, 2008UPDATE: 3-1 and can’t be sad about that 1 cause it is my San Diego Super Chargers!!!
Hey Fellow Football Fiends-
Here are your picks for this weekend’s games.
New York at Dallas
I’m going with the Giants over the Cowboys. Yeah, leaning that way. Jessica & Tony were in Mexico last weekend vacationing–his stupid grin will lose the game. HA HA HA In all seriousness though, the Giants are peaking at the right time and their defense is looking fierce. T.O. is questionable, being called a game time decision and did not practice again on Wednesday. He has a high ankle sprain.
Seattle at Green Bay
Packers over Seahawks– a no brainer IMO. 38 year old Brett Favre and the Packers look like the NFC team of destiny this year. Seattle is talented, but Green Bay has an ancient QB who has rediscovered his youth. Also, it is forecasted to be in the high 20s/low 30s with snow showers in Green Bay this weekend.
Jacksonville at New England
The Patriots over The Jaguars – if anyone can beat NE, it is Jax, and mobile QB Gerrard. they are peaking at just the right time. But NE will prevail. As usual. No weather of concern to Jax is currently forcasted for the Boston area this weekend.
San Diego at Indianapolis
ETA: Obv. being a Chargers fan I am STOKED they won, regardless of the fact that I did not pick them to win, lol
Eek. I’ve gotta pick one and I keep changing my mind. Chargers have owned the Colts recently. Peyton and the boys don’t like SD’s D. The Chargers don’t play well in domes. Phillip Rivers is not seasoned enough for the big time just yet. Antonio Gates and his turf toe. Indy’s mended injuries. Defending Superbowl Champs.
Colts over Chargers.

by yojoe January 12, 2008 at 1:33 pmGG – I am stunned at the Colts play today but happy for those in SoCal hoping the Chargers could pull it off. It looked like Indy was sleepwalking through the game. Remember when I mentioned earlier in the week how Pittsburgh went there a couple of years back in the playoffs and stole one they shouldn’t have (on their way to the Super Bowl!)…same darn thing happened today. Kudos to SD for pulling it off with all the injuries but the Colts came up really small. They played like Dungy told them before the game he was retiring…which he probably will now. And ALL HAIL THE NEW YORK GIANTS – nice pick there.
